Fonts and styling

To keep the process consistent and professional, we use a clear baseline style:

  • Heading fonts: We will match the cover style as closely as possible.

This keeps the interior cohesive with your cover and genre tone without over-designing the pages.

What The Standard Formatting Package does not include

Standard formatting is intentionally minimal. It does not include:

  • Decorative chapter frames, heavy flourishes, or illustrated internal spreads
  • Highly customised scene break icons created from scratch
  • Complex special-edition interior design elements intended for premium print runs

If you are planning a special edition interior or want a decorative custom layout, that’s a different package and we can quote it properly.

Your step-by-step process from booking to delivery

Step 1: Enquiry and details

You submit a short enquiry so we understand:

  • Your name, pen name (if applicable)
  • Your book format needs (paperback, ePub, or both)
  • Your trim size and printing platform

Step 2: Manuscript questionnaire

We send you our manuscript questionnaire to gather the details that prevent delays, including:

  • trim size and printer (KDP, IngramSpark, independent printer)
  • chapter preferences (for example, always start chapters on the right, or alternate)
  • page break preferences (asterisks, simple divider, or a small icon related to the book)
  • any special elements, such as text messages or embedded content

Step 3: Contract and invoice

Once we have the info, we issue your contract and invoice.

Your booking is confirmed upon full payment and a signed agreement.

We also offer PayPal Pay in 4 for authors who prefer to split the cost.

Step 4: Secure manuscript upload

After payment and signed paperwork, we send a confidential upload link so you can submit your manuscript safely.

Important: Manuscript files must be supplied as DOCX.

Step 5: Sample layout approval

We provide a sample layout early so you can confirm the look and feel before the full build proceeds.

This ensures the interior matches the tone you want: clean, minimal, and readable.

Step 6: Full formatting

Once the sample is approved, we format the full interior with careful checks for:

  • consistency and readability
  • clean chapter transitions
  • page flow across the whole manuscript
  • print and ePub requirements

Step 7: Final delivery

You receive:

  • your print-ready PDF
  • your final ePub

Note: You will receive the finished files, not the source file. The source files remain the property of Page Turner Studios.

Turnaround and revisions

Standard turnaround is 7 business days from sample approval to final delivery, or sooner where possible.

We include a 30-day revision window for layout and design refinements, so you have time to review the interior properly.

If a new manuscript file is supplied after formatting begins, or if major text changes are introduced, revisions may require a new scope.
